I am sitting at the University of Michigan Hospital…helping my wife through her latest chemotherapy
treatment.
A comfort care worker just stopped by…and handed my wife one of your neck pillows.
She is now sleeping comfortably with the pillow…it allowed her to relax and fall sound asleep quickly.
I just want your team to know how helpful your efforts are…and how much I appreciate your generous help.

Dear Knit Michigan,
I would like to thank each and every one of you for your steadfast dedication and commitment in providing our
Oncology patients with hats and blankets. It means so much to the women who are going through
chemotherapy and losing their hair. Many times they do not have time to get out to the store for hats and wigs
before they begin to lose their hair. They all truly appreciated the time and effort. They are so amazed by
the beautifully colored hats and the wide variety to choose from. We had two patients that had a hat party in
their room with your hats. They tried on many hats, looking in the mirror, laughing and giggling giving
compliments to each other. The enjoyment of “shopping” for a new hat made their day. You have made a
difference in so many patients’ lives!!!
